This form is to assist the KLHOA Nominating Committee in preparing the nominees for the upcoming Board of Directors election. The KLHOA Board consists of 7 directors (9 maximum) who each serve a 1-year term (or until their successor is duly elected). Directors also may serve as officers of the corporation as President, Vice-President, Secretary, or Treasurer. If you are interested in serving as a director and/or officer, you may nominate yourself or someone you believe is qualified to serve. Please only nominate individuals who have agreed and are willing and able to serve for the respective term. The Board typically meets the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm for approximately 2 hours, with the exception of the Annual Membership Meeting (held in November).
In addition to attending monthly meetings, directors can expect to volunteer approximately 6-8 hours/month of their time (depending on pending issues and special events or committee involvement). All directors, within 90 days of election/appointment, must provide proof to the Board Secretary they have attended a State-approved HOA certification course or they must certify in writing that they have read all KLHOA governing documents and policies in their entirety and agree to carry out their duties and fiduciary responsibilities as required by law. No person may be elected to the Board of Directors who has delinquent assessments or owes any monetary obligation to the Board related to a KLHOA parcel, nor may any person serve on the KLHOA Board who has been convicted of a felony in any jurisdiction.*
